It is not exactly known how helpful this feature would be or what was the intent behind its designing but essentially what it does is that it shows a blank grey screen to the other side when a user is, say, replying to a text message that just came in during the call or digging out a contact number from his contacts list. In-Call View BlockingĪnother new feature of the app is that it blocks the view during video calls to the other side if one of the users is browsing any other part of the phone. Apple users would be able to take benefit of this feature only if the Google Duo app is open on their phones, otherwise not. This does not work for strangers whom they have not saved as contacts into their list of contacts on the app. Plus, this works only for people users know of and have saved into their contact list. However, anytime they think that it is not such a good idea, they can opt to deactivate this feature anytime.
